Abby Lee Miller may never be able to do what she loves to do best anymore. Doctors told the dance instructor “there is a chance she may never walk again.”
Abby was diagnosed with a form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma called Burkitt lymphoma. Burkitt lymphoma is a cancer of the lymph nodes, and the dance instructor has been battling with it since April.
An insider told E! News “Her prognosis is bleak, but she is vowing to beat this and not only walk but dance again.”
“She has been open about her diagnosis with her close friends who are in awe of Abby Lee’s fighting spirit,” the source shared. “Her inner circle is rallying around her with support and regular visits to the Dance Moms star.”
Since the dance star was released from jail in March, she has been battling with the illness publicly and still plans to make her way back to the Tv screens. “This entire situation is being documented on camera and will be a focal point on Abby Lee’s upcoming televised cancer special.”
Abby tried to overcome the disease by undergoing surgery to remove what was assumed to be a mass near her spine to relieve symptoms of paralysis.
As at when the 51-year old had the surgery, her doctor told E! News that it was due to an infection in her spine.
Just a day after the surgery, Abby was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but a rep of doctor Melamed said she could move her legs, toes, and arms which was a “very good sign.”
However, the dancer later wrote on her Instagram from the hospital bed “So much gratitude and love for those who listened, those who looked deeper and those who leapt into action. So much more I wish I could say……about how quickly your life can change at the hands of others,”
The Dancer had to undergo another emergency surgery, and she shared with her followers on Instagram “After another 2 hour MRI this morning, the pros thought I needed one more quick little emergency surgery! Ugh! I’m in recovery now and texting so everything must be ok, just hiccups in my plans!”
Weeks after that Abby has shared a photo of 52 staples in her back and has had to undergo five rounds of chemo as she continues to stay in the hospital.
However, friends and families have tried to pay the dance moms star regular visits in the hospital, and that has made her very happy. “Thanks so much for taking the time to see me, laughter is the best medicine” Abby shared on Instagram.
Two days ago Abby had the chance to go out and shop after “13 long, painful months. For a lifelong shopper like me, that’s absolute torture!” She wrote on Instagram.
