It’s a sad one for actor Channing Tatum as he mourns the demise of his very first best friend, Corey Vaughn. The actor’s childhood Bestie passed away on the 21st of August. In Channing’s Instagram tribute to his late pal, he wrote “Man there’s so much to say, I’ll never forget his crazy ass and how he stuck up for and protected me when I first moved to Mississippi. He’d fought anybody.
All the laughs and trouble we go in. I’ll never be able to see that smile of his again in this life.” The actor took the opportunity to encourage his fans to reach out to their loved ones “And it just made me need to remind everybody doesn’t put off anything,” Tatum continued. “Seeing a friend, or even calling or texting. You never know what’s next.”
Towards the end of the heart-melting tribute, Channing Tatum talked about how Corey would want nothing more than to see his friends and family live their lives to the fullest even in his absence. “Corey would have wanted us to laugh and raise hell in his wake and have as much joy as anyone can make,” Channing wrote. “He sure did. And I’ll forever miss you, man. Love ya, my brother.”
The 21 Jump street actor said that he was inspired to share the tribute when he saw that his sister did something similar. Tatum also shared a childhood photo of himself and Corey.
The actor captioned his tribute to Corey “RIP Corey I’ll never forget your crazy ass. I love you with all my heart. All my prayers to your beautiful family.”
This is a tough period for the actor, and one can only imagine how he’ll manage to cope with the rush of childhood memories that he had with his friend. We wish the family of the deceased peace and the courage to bear their loss.
Channing Tatum, however, did not share the cause of Corey Vaughn’s death.
