AfriOne launches the AfriOne Champion: Specifications & Price

Just two months after starting operations at its smartphone assembly plant in Lagos and launching its first device in the country, the Gravity Z1, AfriOne has hit the markets again with its second Android-running device, the AfriOne Champion.

The AfriOne Champion comes in the budget category of smartphones, sporting low-end specs in comparison to those of the Gravity Z1.

AfriOne Champion Review

The AfriOne Champion runs on the Android operating system out of the box, but as at the time of publishing this post, it hasn’t been ascertained what version of the OS the smartphone is running.

Design & Display

The AfriOne Champion comes with a 5.5-inch LCD IPS display like the Gravity Z1. Other details like the pixel resolution, dimensions and weight of the smartphone are not known yet, but we can say that the smartphone has an aluminium alloy body build.

The Champion runs on 1GB of RAM and comes with 16GB of internal storage which can abe expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.

An 8MP camera with a LED flash is present at the rear of the AfriOne Champion while a 5MP camera with soft flash handles selfie photography at the front.

The smartphone packs a 2800mAh battery which is quite befitting for its budget status.
