American Rapper Jay-Z Now Into Football

American rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z has set his sights on football and he is gunning for the likes of Mino Raiola and Jorge Mendes as he wished to establish himself as a super football agent.

Shawn Jay-Z Carter who has 21 Grammy awards and also the richest hip-hop artist has a business empire that includes a record label, fashion label, music streaming. champagne brand and a sports Agency Roc Nations Sports.

Roc Nations Sports earns him millions as a super agent and his clients are from the NFL, baseball, basketball and recently football.

He already teamed up with Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng and also Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku.

Last year, Roc Nation Sports with just 33 clients was ranked 33 on Forbes List of the most powerful sports agencies in 2017 but presently it represents 69 athletes.

Jerome Boateng who was the first football player to sign for Jay-Z in 2015 said;

‘I took my sister and my best friend, we mostly talked about music and football. Jay-Z knows about football and has watched numerous games.

‘America is a big market. With Jay-Z and Roc Nation I have a lot, we want to try what is possible.’

The agency is currently looking to recruit more players as it tries to establish itself in the football division.

‘Currently Roc Nation Sports represents Jerome Boateng and Romelu Lukaku and we are looking to expand our football division when the right opportunities develop,’ a source said.
