Guess who is expecting a baby? Bekah Martinez is!
The reality Tv star who started dating Grayston Leonard seven months ago announced that she was expecting a baby last Wednesday. “I was in disbelief and thought, ‘Is this really happening?’I Immediately called Grayston and then went across the street to the Dollar Tree and bought two more pregnancy tests.
They, of course, were both positive,” she told Pure Wow. Bekah, 22, became the youngest participant in bachelors in paradise as she contested for the heart of Arie Luyendyk who was 14 years older. The age difference between the duo caused lots of eyebrow-raising both during, and after the show.
Now that Bekah is outside that part of her life, she is ready to take on a new challenge “She is really excited to share this news with everyone and says she is ready for this new and exciting chapter,” a source told E! News.
Bekah didn’t see the pregnancy coming, and she had a rough first trimester, but now she feels really energised. You Might be tempted to think that her pregnancy would mean she has to go around shopping for the perfect wedding ring, but sorry to disappoint you; Bekah doesn’t want to walk down the aisle with a baby bump “It’s a horrible idea for us to consider with all of the hormones and the stress we’re experiencing. The last thing we need is to consider another commitment on top of what we’re already going through…Regardless, we’re bound together by sharing this little life.”
Because she is expecting, Bekah did not show up for the just-concluded season of bachelor in paradise. A source said “Bekah is telling everyone that the reasoning for her not going on Bachelor in Paradise this season is because she is pregnant,” a source says. The source added that Bekah would have all of her friends from the show by her side throughout the remaining months of her pregnancy till she delivers, “All of the girls have been trying to be supportive towards her.”
Martinez told Pure Wow that “I think pregnancy is better than Bachelor in Paradise. Although I’m probably equally as sweaty, exhausted, nauseous, stressed out and emotional, at least I don’t have to worry about finding a man. I already have that one covered.”
Bekah who was previously critical about her experience for several reasons, recently told Glamour that she was grateful for the platform Bachelor in paradise gave her. The way she sees it, “Being on The Bachelor was 100 per cent worth it. It gets you a lot of exposure, and it’s no secret that a lot of the women can support themselves after the show through social media advertising. I’m fortunate that I’ve had a lot of different opportunities come my way, through appearances and sponsored social media posts. And The Bachelor was really just a wonderful experience overall, so I’d certainly do it all over again.”
At the moment, Martinez is only concerned about her pregnancy which she describes as a dream come true. She told Pure Wow that “It’s the one thing that I’ve known with certainty for so long, I’ve gone back and forth on the idea of marriage and relationships, but I’ve always felt sure that I want to be a mom.”
