Bethenny Frankel hasn’t had things easy since the demise of her off and on boyfriend Dennis Shields in August.
The Real Housewives star is taking things one day at a time amidst the heartache and sadness.
Frankel shared how she manages to stay sane in her present condition with her followers on Twitter this past Sunday. “Doing anything in or by the water is life-saving,” Frankel shared. “Beach walks. Ocean swims, wakeboarding, clamming, infrared sauna, jacuzzi & my swim help.”
After the death of Dennis Shields, the entrepreneur took to social media to mourn him, and it explained that the times are hard for her but “When you feel sad, you cry when you have to force yourself to shift. It’s so hard, but it works.”
It has almost been a month since Shields was found dead in his apartment in New York City on the 10th of August at the age of 51. Up until this moment, the cause of the CEO’s death is undetermined.
A week ago, a spokesperson from the office of the chief medical examiner shared with E! News that, “An OCME autopsy was not performed in this case due to a religious objection, upheld by law in such instances where no criminality is suspected.”
However, at the time of Shield’s demise, the New York Post reported that he had suffered an overdose and requested that his assistant administered Narcan, which is used in cases of opioid overdose. Unfortunately, it was already too late when she arrived.
For Frankel, the loss of her boyfriend has been one of the most significant blows she has suffered in recent times. Two weeks after his passing, the reality star wrote “It’s hard to breathe & I appreciate you giving me space & support to try to do so. It’s excruciating-sudden death is no closure & constant ?s & memories. Our relationship is current, so it’s painfully raw. Trying to stay healthy & move through it w tears & close friends. Xo,” The death of the banker occurred in a time where Frankle still had to deal with an ongoing custody battle with her ex-husband over their 8-year-old daughter Bryn. During a court hearing on the 16th of August, Bethenny’s lawyer had argued that “We have no reason to believe he (The ex-husband) is going to co-parent. He is going to be on the attack as he always was.”
At the end of the August 16th court hearing, the Judge told Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel to reach an agreement before the next hearing date.
Losing a loved one and fighting for the safety of another loved one at the same time can be both demanding and emotionally tasking. Bethenny however, has proven to be a strong woman and is facing the challenges head-on as they come her way.
