Antutu has released its Android Performance List for the month of July, and the list still looks like a Snapdragon committee. At the top of the list is the Xiaomi Black Shark 292,977 points, which is better than its score last month at 287,759. This must be because there has been some improvement in firmware and the potential of the platform has been further explored.
The Xiaomi black Shark is a dedicated Android gaming device, and it has an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chip with speed clocked at 2.8 GHz, 8GB of RAM space, 256GB of storage space. The device also integrates a direct-touch liquid cooling system that suppresses high temperature when gaming and a single charge can last over 28 hours.
The second phone on the list is the Oppo Find X. In June Antutu noted that it only index phones that have over 1000 units hence Oppo Find X, was not indexed. Having made great sales, the phone is making its entry, and it went straight to the number two position. The smartphone which stands among the phones with the highest screen to body ratio and also devices with large ram space scored an average of 286,589 points. The device also uses Snapdragon 845 processor chip, 8GB of RAM space and 256GB of local storage space.
Despite having its average score decrease from 284,227 to 283,877, the Vivo NEX S still managed to retain a place in the top three after being placed second last month. The Nex S uses the same Snapdragon 845, and also 8GB of RAM space. The device uses an in display fingerprint sensor and also has a high screen to body ratio. Having received a firmware upgrade, we expect the device to provide even more excellent performance.
OnePlus 6 went One Plus 3, and its small mathematical operation landed it in the fourth position. Previously ranked third, the OnePlus flagship device for 2018 dropped in average scores too from 282,275 to 282,644. The OnePlus 6 is also set to receive firmware upgrade so we might see it pulling back up into the top three.
The Smartisan R1 retained its fifth position after its average score increased from 273,152 to 274,729 while Xiaomi Mi 8 dropped from fourth to the sixth position. The Mi Mix 2s is still seventh while the Samsung Galaxy S9+ dropped from sixth to the eighth position. The Galaxy S9 and Sony Xperia XZ2 made up the last two spots (ninth and tenth) having moved down a step each (from the eighth and ninth position respectively). The ZTE Red Nubia missed the top position having being pushed from the top 10 it occupied last month.
