LG Nexus 5X is Official with 5.2″ 1080p Display


After quit a series of rumours and leaks, the LG Nexus 5X is official. The LG made Google Nexus device features a 5.2″ IPS LCD display touchscreen with a resolution of 1080p, and a pixel density of 424ppi. The display is protected by corning’s Gorilla Glass 3.

On the fun side, the Nexus 5X launches with Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS straight out of the box. Qualcomm is the chi maker behind the Nexus 5X. The device is fitted with Snapdragon 808 chipset, which houses a hexa-core CPU, and an Adreno 418 GPU. There’s 2GB of RAM, while an internal storage of either 16GB or 32GB variant is available, there’s no room for expansion via a microSD though.

On the photographic side, there’s a 12.3MP camera sensor with a f/2.0 aperture and 1.55 micron pixel size at the rear as it’s main shooter, capable of shooting 2160p video. LG has thrown in its IR laser-assisted autofocus and a broad-spectrum dual flash setup. The LG Nexus 5X sports a larger 2700mAh battery (the Nexus 5 touts 2300mAh). At the bottom, there’s a next-gen microUSB Type-C port.

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2×2 MIMO), NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS/GLONASS. There’s a single front-facing speaker, which is joined by 3 microphones (at the front, top and bottom).

Pre-orders are already up and running, and price starts at $379.99 for the 16GB variant for those in the US, UK, South Korea, Japan and Ireland.
