Meet the Fastest Car on the planet

“The future is unknown. It is a journey, an adventure. And above all, it is a challenge. Lamborghini has never shied away from challenges, which is precisely why it created the new Aventador SVJ Coupé. To combine cutting-edge technology with extraordinary design, without ever coming to compromises.” – Lamborghini

Lamborghini keeps dropping eye-popping cars and the new Aventador Superveloce Jota (SVJ) is no different as it is the fastest car on the planet.

Describing the car exterior, the automaker noted that

“Ultra-lightweight materials conceived for maximum performance give rise to breathtaking design:
that’s what makes the new Aventador SVJ Coupé unique and unrivaled.
Enhanced aerodynamic profiles, a fully redesigned front, larger side skirts, the omega-shaped rear wing and lighter, higher exhaust outlets are implanted into the featherlight carbon fiber chassis, which is equipped with wisely-distributed air intakes that are both different and larger than on any previous model. Lightness and performance in constant pursuit of each other.

It is so fast that it has set a new lap record and it can accelerate from 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds and from 0-124mph in 8.6 seconds.

Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Stefano Domenicali. commenting on the Aventador saig;

“The Aventador SVJ is an innovative car and represents the absolute pinnacle of our super sports car product range,

“The challenge to Lamborghini designers and engineers was to improve the purest essence of the Lamborghini super sports car, drawing on every inspiration from a space ship to a jet fighter: all the most exceptional examples of super-fast, super-athletic, aerodynamic superiority. The Aventador SVJ takes another step into the future, shaping the potential for super sports car development.”

The 759bhp 6.5 litre engine car can reach an acclaimed speed of 217mph if you can put it to test to confirm. The car is a pure beast designed with the best of everything in mind.

“The rear-wheel steering has been developed to further improve the car’s stability while reducing braking distances, particularly in combined braking/turning conditions such as high speed cornering,” the automaker notes. “ESC has been enhanced for improved cornering and driver experience in extreme handling conditions, and ABS has been specifically tuned for the improved grip provided by the tires and [Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva] ALA system.”

A statement mail notes that;

It completed the 12.8-mile Nordschleife route in six minutes and a shade under 45 seconds.

That’s two seconds quicker than the previous record holder, the Porsche 911 GT2. And to think, Lamborghini has smashed the German manufacturer’s record in its own back yard.

As well as more performance than a standard – if you can call it that – Aventador S, the SVJ gets a full quota of aerodynamic surgery in a bid for absolute performance.

As a result, it looks about as menacing as something with four wheels can get.
The car was officially revealed at this year’s Monterey Car Week in California, along with a limited edition version called SVJ63 – a tribute to Lamborghini’s founding year of 1963, with 63 examples being produced.

Lamborghini has yet to deliver the final blow of shock – the price speculated to be above £500000 – but expect it cost a significant premium on the Aventador S, which rings in at just over £270,000.
