Mike “the Situation” Sorrentino Goes Ahead to Tie the Knot Despite Prison Sentence

Just like Jack and Rose, Romeo and Juliet, Mike Sorrentino and his high school sweetheart Loren Pesce has vowed that nothing can stand in the way of their love, not even a prison sentence.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was sentenced to eight months in federal prison on Friday for tax evasion. Following the jail sentence, the reality star’s attorney, Henry E. Klingeman, shared with E! News that Michael has been given 30 to 60 days to surrender and within this short time finally, the star plans to tie the knot with the love of his life. In the lawyer’s statement, he said “Michael accepts the Court’s judgment. He is looking forward to marrying his college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, next month, and moving forward together after he serves his sentence.”

Wedding preparations for the love-struck pair are already underway, and a tiny bird in the form of Nicole ”Snooki” Polizzi revealed recently that Lauren had found the perfect wedding dress for her big day. “We just went for her dress fitting, so you know she is putting on the dress and doing all the fun bride stuff, but she is freaking out too,” Nicole shared in a recent talk.

Make no mistakes to think the Jersey Shore family will not be involved in planning the wedding of one of their own. Jenni “JWoww” Farley may be having issues with her own married and ready to say goodbye to the father of her children, but she is super excited to have her daughter walk side by side Snooki’s daughter as they become flower girls for the upcoming wedding.

Snooki shared that “Both of our girls Giovanna and Jenni’s daughter, Meilani, is going to be the flower girls, he just asked us. You are going to see it on the show, and we are super excited.”

Before the court date, Michael and Lauren celebrated the engagement with a wedding shower which was held in New Jersey. At the time of the engagement, the couple exclusively told E! News that “It was such an amazing day celebrating our love for each other with all of our closest families and friends! You felt the love in the room. We are excited to see what the future holds and can’t wait to share with our family, friends, and fans.”

Mike Sorrentino proposed to his girlfriend on one of the Jersey Shore episodes in what you can easily tag an emotional and romantic speech. The reality star told Pesce “I fell in love with you because you loved me when I could’ve even love myself.”

This is the part where you remember Wyclef Jean saying “This is the kind of love my mama used to tell me about” Only this time, Mike is the one in trouble and not Wyclef.
