After the Nokia 8, Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and Nokia 3310, HMD Global, the company with the license to produce smartphones with the Nokia brand on them, is planning to launch a new flagship smartphone, the Nokia 9.
Prototype images of the Nokia 9 were spotted on the web sometime in May, and now the smartphone has showed up on popular benchmarking sites, Geekbench and AnTuTu. The company itself teased its customers with an image which revealed some possible details about the smartphone. Here’s all we know about the upcoming Nokia 9.
Nokia 9 Rumoured Specifications
The AnTuTu listing shows that the Nokia 9 has a model number
TA-1004. It also reveals that its display will have a 2560 * 1440 pixel resolution which is most appropriate on a display size between 5.0 and 5.5 inches, but from the images in prototype and teaser, the device will most likely have a 5.3-inch screen size.
The smartphone will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 835 processor and its graphics rendered by the powerful Adreno 540 GPU. The phone will have 64GB of expandable internal storage and 4GB of RAM.
All the images of the Nokia 9, either real or imaginarily-created have revealed a dual camera setup at the rear of the smartphone, and we expect that they both will have 13MP lenses, the first an RGB lens and the second a Monochrome one.
It will also have a 12MP front camera with a notification LED beside it. The smartphone will surely have a fingerprint sensor since it’s a flagship. and it’s expected to run on the latest version of the Android OS, Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
