Pete Davidson Talks About Having Borderline Personality Disorder and Receiving Death Threats for Dating Ariana Grande
Since the demise of Grande’s ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, Pete Davidson has been silent. We would like to assume that he thought it right to stay by his girl during this time of grief and wait till the time is right before he talks about any topic relating to his relationship with the singer.
The Saturday night live host was a guest in the Howard Stern show last Monday, and he talked about his relationship with his singer fiancée Ariana Grande.
Davidson said about Ariana’s break up from Mac Millar and his break up from David that “Timing, I feel like, is everything and we both were in a similar situation at the same time.”
Howard said “You’re both broken up with people. You had dated Larry David’s daughter for two years in a serious relationship. You broke up for whatever reason. She was with that guy Mac Miller and you both break up.” And Pete responded by saying the breakups happened “pretty much at the same time.”
The 24-year-old comedian shared that he suffered from the mental health disorder known as the borderline personality disorder in 2017, mentioning that “It was a rough time, It was an assortment of things, an assortment of shit I would say…It was a shitty pie I was eating.”
“With you, the shitty pie can come on fierce,” The host responded to Pete. “You think that’s part of your disorder, that everything just feels like the entire world is spinning?”
The comedian mentioned to Stein that “Everything feels so extreme, dude.” adding “Like it’s the most extreme or the least extreme.” In a reply, the radio host asked the newly engaged Pete Davidson, “Are you worried in a relationship with a woman that your extreme mood could destroy the relationship that you’re too much to handle?”
Pete admitted that he was worried until he met Ariana “I just think some people are meant to be together, and some people aren’t, even if they are good people or not,” Pete stated. “Some people just aren’t good in relationships together. And I just think she’s- we’re supposed to be together.”
“Before we started dating, I literally like went through a list, I scrolled through a list of really hot guys on the internet, and I was like, ‘Wait a minute, are you sure?'” Pete told Howard. “Like here’s all of One Direction, I was like you sure? Was I like this guy? Alright. OK cool.”
The comedian recently took a break from social media but has returned and shared his experience with internet trolls and how he received death threats.
“Yeah I got a death threat,” Davidson shared. “Somebody wanted to shoot me in the face because she’s so hot.”
