Sony Mobile has started seeding out updates to the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact smartphones. The duo devices where made official last month and released this month, but came with a software bug dubbed Stagefright exploit. The update being rolled out by the OEM brings along a fix for the Stagefright exploit. According to the reports received, the update would be available for all variants of the aforementioned handsets along with those of the Xperia Z5 Dual.
The OTA update is sized at 281MB and carries a build number of 32.0 crestor 10 mg.A.6.152. Some users who’ve so far received the update says it also comes with features which enhances camera performance, improves heat management, and makes the fingerprint sensor comparatively more accurate.
The OTA software update would be reaching all devices in due time, but if for any reason you would like to snap it up, you can manually check for it through Sony’s PC app.
