OnePlus wants you to trade in your over $700 Samsung flagship for its OnePlus 2

Well, this is another intentional viral marketing stunt from the Chinese startup that once asked owners of flagship device to destroy their device to ‘get a chance’ to own OnePlus’s then flagship killer – OnePlus One. This time, OnePlus are not asking you to destroy that overly priced Samsung device, they simply want you to trade it in for their 2015 flagship OnePlus 2.

The offer is only for users of Samsung flagship devices – Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ or the Galaxy Note 5, thus the contest is dubbed Take The Edge Off.
According to OnePlus, devices it will get through TakeTheEdgeOff – will be donated to Hope Phones, a non-profit organization that brings medical technology to those in need.

If you would like to enter the contest, all you have to do is to use #TakeTheEdgeOff on social media and fill out this form. If you get selected, ship your phone to OnePlus, and they’ll send you a brand new OnePlus 2. Keep in mind that a maximum of 50 winners will be selected, and the contest closes on October 18.
