This might work for a while though, but as we know, Google will wise up eventually. Don’t ever try to cheat the system by using black-hat SEO. It’s not worth it in any way.

So, while a penalty may be intentional, it can thus be unintentionally imposed. This is both good and bad news. This technique is shocking for incurring penalties as it effectively and intentionally misleads users and the search engine.

Under the broader net of cloaking also includes a one-click violation, which shows a full page to the search engine and only a little portion to the user and cloaking images could also be a tip for Google to penalise a website because of the wrong usage.

Google is Not a Fan of Spam

Some other red flags for Google penalties are hacked sites, hidden text, keyword stuffing, spam, and thin content and unnatural links. Google will penalise by lowering a site’s visibility to users, thus losing already-built and essential optimisation, overall traffic, and revenue.

Recovery is Possible

Your penalty won’t last forever. If you have found yourself penalised unintentionally or not, there are ways of Google penalty recovery, so the worst would be over.
