Chinese OEM giant and a top contender in the mobile world – Xiaomi recently announced its latest flagship – the Xiaomi Mi 5 – at the recently held Mobile World Congress 2016. The flagship Xiaomi Mi 5 device which is planned to go on sale in China starting tomorrow, March 1, has so far recorded an interesting number of registrations to the tune of over 14million, as revealed by the Chinese company itself.
Aside the fact that the figure is pretty high and impressive, there’s indications that Xiaomi actually did set a new record for themselves, as the milestone was achieved in less than a week after the $300 flagship Mi 5 device came to light. Talk about being at the top of your game Xiaomi.
The sale of the Xiaomi Mi 5 is scheduled to begin at 10AM China time, and will see the company offering only the white color variants of the 3GB/32GB and 3GB/64GB models. There’s currently no word on when other versions, including the higher-end ceramic back variant will be available for purchase. If you have an eye for the rest variants of the Xiaomi Mi 5, you’d have to keep an ear out to know when the Chinese company would be putting them up for sale.
