Azim Premji studied at Stanford University but had to quit school to take over his father cooking oil business following the father’s death in 1966. He then ventured into the software business, where he began creating a fortune for himself. At 75years old, Azim Premji is considered one of the richest businessmen of India.

In 2019, Azim Premji was being replaced by his son Rishad Premji as executive chairman at Wipro lImited.
