Tekno Age
Tekno was born on the 17th of December,1992 in Bauchi state into a military and musical family of six which consists of five boys and one girl. Tekno is originally from Ivo Local Government Area, Ebonyi State in the southeastern region of Nigeria.
Tekno’s dad who is guitar player and a Navy man instilled the love for music in Tekno’s heart. One of Tekno’s younger brother owns the well known Starboy label act Spotless.
Tekno Education
Tekno’s dad was a music lover and skilled in playing guitar, he enrolled Tekno in a musical school where he learned how to play guitar and keyboard. However due to the nature of his dad’s job (Navy), he grew up in various part of Nigeria such as Kaduna, Nasarawa, Abuja and many more.
He attended his primary education in one the states he grew up and completed his secondary school at Heritage School, Kaduna where he received his WAEC certificate.
Tekno Career
Tekno steps into music career began when he was enrolled in a music school where he master the act of playing guitar and keyboard. He also joined his church choir during his childhood days.
Tekno was signed under K-Money Entertainment label at first. It was under this record label where he released his first single were he titled “Holiday”. His first single “Holiday”was feature by Davido on the aspect of vocals. This particular hit was greatly received, loved by Nigerians and played in radio stations nationwide.
Tekno kept on climbing higher as he performed in one event at Abuja in 2012, after an outstanding performance of remixing Ice Prince song “Oleku” to his own version of “Onye Ne Kwu”. He also received a standing ovation and captivated the heart of one of Nigeria’s iconic comedian Julius Agwu.
The comedian introduced him to fellow artists in the likes of Iyanya and Ubi Franklyn, the manager of Made Men Music Group, the group became closed niche of friends.
The group ended up selling him the idea of relocation to Lagos, in order to keep his music career flying higher. Tekno actually bought the idea and relocated to Lagos.
Tekno’s career took another huge turn, when he signed a contract with his friends record label ” Made Men Music Group” on the 5th of October, 2013.
Under this record label he released two major single hits Dance and Anything, it was these two major single hits that won him the nomination for the Best New act of the Year category at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Apart from Dance and Anything, he also released other songs like Selebobo, Emma Nyra, and Baci. On the 18th of June, 2015, Tekno released another major hit with DJ Coublon(who produced it) titled “Duro”. This awesome hit was welcomed by Africans and overseas.
In November, a remixed was released featuring Phyno and Flavour N’abania which stormed the first 10 of the music charts of Africans and overseas. On the 20th of the month, Tekno released another amazing single which he titled “Wash”. The song was also produced by the same DJ DJCoublon and AJE Filmworks directed the video aspect of the song.
Apart from being a musician he is also a producer. He has produced some amazing songs such as; Show by Victoria Kimani in 2014, Feeling You by Rima ft. Tekno in 2015, Pray for You by Lynxx ft.

Apart from being a producer, Tekno got an amazing distribution deal In June 2018, with Universal Music Group Nigeria (UMGN), specially with a division of Universal Music Group in charge of West Africa, as well as the United Kingdom-based Island Records.
Immediately after the global pandemic (corona virus) found its way into Nigeria, he released a major hit song titled Sudden which peaked at the third position for best single of the year 2020.
