Vivo Set to Win The Screen To Body Ratio War

One of the fascinating specifications that have influenced the design of modern smartphones is the Screen-to-Body ratio.

People wanted bigger displays without carrying bigger phones around. This has led us to the Notched screens and pop up cameras.

Vivo, one of the most innovative companies in mobile design at this point, is set to attempt to achieve the highest Screen to Body ratio ever with the Vivo Nex 3.

The Nex 3, which is set for launch on September 16, is rumored to have 99 % screen-to-body ratio.

This was confirmed by the Vivo’s NEX product manager Li Xiang who said that the NEX would have a 99.6% Screen to Body Ratio. According to his post on Weibo, the company used Industry-standard calculation method to get those result.

Also, he agrees that the ratio may be lower if other professionals employ a different algorithm, but the 5G enabled device will still be the highest in the Industry.

He further bragged that no other smartphone would come to close to rivaling the Vivo NEX 3 in the next six months.

Extra features

Extra features coming with the Vivo Next 3 have been revealed too. The device is expected to come with a 6.89 inch AMOLED display.

Vivo will stick to its innovative features as with previous NEX series by keeping the Fingerprint sensor under display (on-screen).

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ Octacore chipset with speed up to 2.96Ghz sits on board to marshall operations. It is also expected to be launched with 12GB of RAM space and up to 512 GB onboard storage.

The triple rear camera modules are 64MP + 13MP+ 13MP. Vivo upped the pop-up camera game with 16MP dual pop up camera.

The is a 4500mAh battery to power the device and 44W fast charge. Given that Android Q was just released, the phone is expected to run Android 9 Pie out of the box.
