Early Life
Zack Orji hails from Nsukka, Enugu State, in the southeastern part of Nigeria. He was born in Libreville, Gabon, on the 10th of October 1960.
His childhood was quite adventurous, having spent most of it in countries like Cameroon, Togo, and the Benin Republic in West Africa. Growing up as the eldest of seven children, Zack was very helpful to his parents.
When he was in Cameroon, he would fetch firewood for his mother, who was into soft drinks business; he would also go out to sell oranges and other little things to support his parents financially. Although his father wanted him to become a medical doctor, Zack had other plans for himself.
He discovered his passion for acting at a young age, and a member of several dramatic guilds which allowed him to participate in several stages plays on different occasions while growing up.
Zack had his primary and secondary school education in Gabon, Cameroon, and Togo after he obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate.
He returned to Nigeria to further his tertiary education at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu State. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management.
After he graduated, he ventured into the shoemaking business, but all his efforts became in vain when his shop was destroyed and lost so many costly things in the process. At this point, Zack decided to pursue a career in acting.

Zack’s first major appearance in the Nigerian Movie Industry was in 1991. He debuted in a movie titled “Unforgiven Sins.” However, Zack became famous after he starred in the blockbuster film, “Glamour Girls.” This film gained him prominence as well as earned him wealth in the industry.

Zack’s Daughter Yvone Orji takes after her father, she was recently nominated for the ‘Best Supporting Comedy Actress’ category in the next Emmys Awards to hold later in 2020. She gets this nomination for her role as ‘Molly Carter’ in the TV drama series ‘Insecure.’
Yvonne was born on December 2nd, 1983, she grew up in the United States and pursued her career in comedy after graduating from the university. She gained the role of Molly on Insecure in 2015.
