Jephthah Bowoto Akpororo was born on the 3rd of June 1989, and h grew up in warri, Delta State Nigeria. Akpororo is a Native of Ilaje in Ondo State.
He is a famous Nigerian stand-up-comedian, vocalist, and master of ceremony, television personality, model, and actor. He had featured in various shows both home and abroad.
Akpororo completed his primary school in education in Warri, and he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. Shortly after his primary school, he proceeded to his secondary school, and obtained his West African Senior School Certificate, there in Owerri.
Career
Akpororo’s career started as a local gospel vocalist before he was opportune to join other big leagues in the industry of comedy.
When he joined the entertainment industry, it was not as easy as he thought it would be for him, as he failed in several comedy competitions.
At the AY Open Mic show, he was even humiliated by the audience when he was booed “Waka” by the audience before h could even tell his last joke, but he never let this get him down, rather it only motivated him to do better, and become an even better comedian.
After many failed trials and attempts at comedy, he finally got his win at the Basket Mouth Laugh and Jams Show at Ikoyi. The show was a very big one, and it brought Akpoor to the limelight.
In 2008, he joined a National Comedy competition by Opa Williams and went on to win at the Calabar Zone of the competition.
Akpororo after some failed attempts at the AY show, he finally came first at one of the competition, and after the competition, he started performing in various AY shows, both within the country, and outside the country, through the show, he attracted fans for himself and made a name for himself.
On the 12th of August 2014, he organized his own very own show, titled “Akpororo Vs. Akpororo” at the Shell Hall of Muson Center in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The show was filled with various musical stars, Nollywood actors, celebrities, and top Dignitaries from the entertainment industry.
In 2014, AKpororo delved into acting, and he stared in the film “Headgone” and “Antique.” In the year 2015, this movies gained him three nominations at the 2015 golden Icons Academy Movie Awards.
