Chidinma Ekile Early Life
Chidinma Ekile was born on the 2nd of May 1991 in Ketu, Kosofe in Lagos state; though her parents are from Imo. She happens to be the sixth child out of seven.
At age six, Chidinma had already began singing, she even joined her church choir. She later relocated with her parents to Ikorodu, Lagos; after she had finished her primary and secondary school in Ketu.
She was enrolled in University of Lagos to study Sociology. Before the the Project Fame audition, Chidinma Ekile had began working as a business promoter, even though professionalizing music wasn’t in her plans, she still decided to try it out after emerging the winner of Project Fame.

Chidinma Ekile had this burning desire to be part of a TV reality show at some point in her life and when the opportunity to compete in the season three of the famous MTN Project Fame West Africa presented itself, she grabbed it with both hands.
Chidinma was part of the eight thousand contestants that were given the opportunity to showcase their talent in the competition.
The contestant underwent series of auditions and screening until seventeen contestants were left; Chidinma was fortunate to be among the remaining seventeen contestants for the final stage of the competition.
Chidinma Ekile and other contestants were put through series of coaching and voice training for two months and two weeks in order to prepare them for the final stage. Chidinma Ekile finally emerged the winner of the season three of Project Fame West Africa in 2010.
Among the prizes she won was a Toyota Rav4 and the sum of Two million Five Hundred Thousand naira. She later signed an endorsement deal with the organizers of Project Fame, MTN in 2013.
Chidinma Ekile collaborated with three of her fellow finalist in the Project Fame before working on producing her ‘Chidinma’ debut album.
She worked with several producers on the project, producers such as ; Tee-Y mix, Cobhams Asuquo etc. On February 22, 2011, Chidinma released the song titled Jankoliko with the help of Soun-Sultan.
Chidinma Ekile later released the video for the song ‘Jankoliko’ in June 2011, directed by the famous Clarence Peters. Later in October, she released her hit single ‘Kedike’ which was the third track in her debut album, together with ‘Run Dia Mouth’ which was the albums fourth single.
The release of the music video followed in 2012,where fellow singer Dammy Krane played the part of her lover in the video.
Chidinma Ekile also featured Tha-Suspect and Illbliss in the track ‘EMI Ni Baller’ on September 14,2012; produced by Legendary Beatz. Among the Vanguard’s Top 10 list of songs, ‘EMI Ni Baller’ ranked number seven.
On June 12,2013 the music video of EMI Ni Baller, which was directed by Clarence Peters, was released by Capital Dreams. She later released Jolly, kite and Bless My Hustle, in June 2013.
In the early part of September, 2013, Chidinma released the song ‘oh Baby’. In January 2014,the remix of the song which featured Flavour, was released. In 2017, Chidinma dropped her hit single ‘Fallen In Love’, in which the music video had seventy-seven million views on You Tube
