Early Life
Hugh has four older siblings from the same parents. His parents got divorced when he was eight years old. He remained in Australia with his father and two older brothers while his mother got remarried and moved back to England with his two sisters. Hugh attended Knox Grammar School in Sydney and went to England for a year after graduating high school. On his return to Australia, Hugh took a course in communications at the University of Technology, Sydney, and graduated with a BA in Communications in 1991.
