The Tecno Pouvour 3 Plus is a leader of the third generation of the Tecno Power focused series. Tecno has ramped up the battery specifications of the Pouvoir 3 Plus and it is absolutely recommended for power-hungry folks.
Design and Display
The Tecno Pouvior 3 Plus features a dot notch designed and looks it draws its inspiration from the Tecno Phantom 9 smartphone. This is true as the button positions, the dedicated google assistant button, and even the rear camera placements look the same.
The back of the phone features a triple camera cutout and an LED cutout as well. The fingerprint cutout is also here The casing as with other Tecno phones is made with polycarbonate material.
The bottom features the speaker, the USB port, the Mic and the 3.5mm audio/headphone jack.
Onto the display, Tecno ditched the normal IPS displays for an AMOLED display in the Pouvoir 3 plus. This seems to be a power efficient move for a smartphone that has a big battery. Overkill I guess.
The display also has 6.35 panel, 720*1548 pixel resolutions and over 85% screen to body resolution. The brightness is aided by the AMOLED display and the aspect ratio is 19.5:9. It utilizes the PowerVR GE8320 GPU for graphics
Camera Specifications
The Tecno Pouvoir 3 plus happens to wage war on some other smartphone out there (like the Camon 12 Air) in its camera department despite being a power focused series.
The selfie camera features a 13MP selfie sensor with a dual flashlight on the top panel. At the back is the triple camera setup that consists of a 13MP main shooter, 8MP wide-angle camera, 2MP depth camera, and quad flashlights.
There are also software improvements that provide different modes like AI mode, beauty mode, portrait, scene recognition, etc.
Hardware and Memory Specifications
The Pouvoir 3 plus is not going the escaped the hands of the much used MediaTek MT6762 Helio P22 Processor. The processor has eight (8) Cortex A53 cores and it is clocked at 2.0GHz maximum speed. This is good enough for heavy gaming and prevents lagging.
There is 4GB of RAM space aboard for multitasking and it can support many heavy apps. There is also 64GB of storage space to complement the RAM. There is a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space variant though it is not as popular as the 4GB RAM and 64GB version.
The phone supports memory expansion using a micro SD card up to 256 GB.
Software and Battery
The Pouvoir 3 plus runs on HiOS 5.0.2 based on the Android 9.0 Pie OS. HiOS comes some software improvements like the side panel for app and tool toggling, one hand mode, bike mode, dedicated game mode, and WhatsApp mode for data saving.
For power, there is a 6000mAh monster battery on the Pouvior 3 plus. It is by far Tecno’s highest battery rating yet. Tecno claims it can “stay on for 5 days. It means 2100 minutes of calling, or 12000 minutes of music playing, or 1020 minutes of gaming”
There is no support for a fast charge though. And like all Tecno phones, the OS has bloatware.
